RE: METROFILE’S SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP PROJECT LITERACY
We are proud to have partnered with Project Literacy over the past few years. It has been a privilege to witness the growth and impact of the Run-Home-To-Read (RHTR) early childhood programme. Our support has focused especially on this initiative, which plays a critical role in helping children, whose families are unable to afford formal preschool, develop essential reading and writing skills to ensure they are school-ready. This programme not only equips young minds for learning but also strengthens family and community bonds by encouraging parents, guardians, and caregivers to spend meaningful time reading with their children. A spin-off to this programme is the employment opportunities created by Run Home to Read in
communities. Additional youth development support is highly recommended to ensure the long-lasting impact of this project and to enable unemployed youths to explore selfemployment opportunities through their ECD Practitioner program.
We began our journey with the Soshanguve branch and are proud to have extended our partnership to support the reopening of the Kliptown branch. With each step, we have seen more children and families reached, and more futures brightened.
Run-Home-To-Read is more than a literacy project. It’s a powerful tool for building communities and creating a more inclusive, economically active society. Well done to Project Literacy and all involved in making this incredible work possible!

Sincerely,
Matshepo Selepe
